The Rangers squad get to enjoy the rare luxury of some downtime as the club’s bosses scramble on transfer deadline day.

After securing safe passage to the Europa League Round of 16 during the week and then dumping Ross County 4-0 at Ibrox, we’d say they’ve earned some time off.

But for the likes of Philippe Clement, Nils Koppen and the Rangers board, the fun is only just beginning on transfer deadline day at Ibrox.

With plenty of transfer stories still to reach their conclusion in and out of Ibrox, three first-team Gers stars have been spotted in Glasgow Airport.

Danilo, Jefte and Rafael Fernandes at Glasgow Airport

One Rangers fan uploaded a picture with Ibrox stars Danilo, Jefte and Rafael Fernandes in Glasgow Airport after the win over Ross County.

Twitter user @Kankagroup snapped the three native Portuguese speakers on their way to London for a team bonding exercise.

All three players are native Portuguese speakers and it’s good to see Danilo and Jefte take new signing Rafael Fernandes under their wing in Glasgow.

There is some big hype around Fernandes and Rangers will be hoping the defender finds himself at home in Glasgow before a permanent summer switch.

The centre-back made his Rangers debut in the thumping 4-0 win over Ross County and will have cause for celebration as the team enjoy some downtime this week.

Rangers have a week off ahead of the visit of Queens Park in the Scottish Cup and the team have certainly earned themselves a breather after a huge week in Glasgow.

Danilo hasn’t been seen since going off in the 3-0 victory over Aberdeen with a shoulder injury.

The Rangers striker has impressed when he has played at Ibrox but injuries have badly impacted his first 18 months in Scotland.

Jefte has also been strongly linked with a move to London club Chelsea but that is not why the defender is heading to the British capital.

Rafael Fernandes has also just joined the Gers and will look to win a permanent move to Ibrox after signing a six-month loan deal from Ligue 1 club Lille.

The centre-back comes highly-rated after impressing in Portuguese football with the Gers holding a £2.7m option to buy at the end of the loan stint.
