Talented young goalkeeper Nicky Hogarth has reacted on social media after seemingly being released by Rangers.
Hogarth has been part of the Academy setup at Auchenhowie for several years, with his younger brother Jay also at the club.
Despite still only being 19, Nicky already has plenty of senior experience, having gone on five separate loan spells across recent seasons.
He’s spent time at East Stirling, Kilwinning Rangers, Caledonian Braves, Stirling Albion and most recently, Cowdenbeath.
The teenager initially joined the Blue Brazil on an emergency loan deal on Boxing Day before his stint was extended until the end of the season.
He established himself as manager Gary Bollan’s no.1 keeper and made 16 appearances, keeping seven clean sheets.

Cowdenbeath finished their League Two campaign with a 2-0 home win over Albion Rovers on 4th May and Hogarth then returned to Rangers.
His contract was due to expire this month, though, and although the news hasn’t yet been officially confirmed, it looks as though he’s been released by the Light Blues.
The young keeper took to social media on Monday evening, writing: ‘Thanks @Rangersfc for the last few years. Onwards and upwards’, followed by the fingers crossed emoji.
The post also contained several photos from his time at the club.
The apparent decision to release Hogarth comes after new contracts for the likes of Allan McGregor, Andy Firth and Kieran Wright, with USA youth international Aaron Cervantes also recently arriving at the club from Orange County SC.
In other news, Rangers have been dealt a transfer blow after a Championship club announced the signing of a rapid reported Ibrox target.
