Rangers have been dealt an apparent transfer blow after Watford announced the signing of reported Ibrox target Kwadwo Baah from Rochdale [Watfordfc.com].
Baah was initially linked to Rangers back in January, with the Athletic reporting that the Gers were battling the likes of West Ham, Juventus, and Bayern Munich for the 18-year-old.
The Guardian later asserted that he had agreed a pre-contract deal with Man City and would move to the Etihad before heading back to Rochdale on loan for the 2021/22 season.
However, that deal fell through, possibly due to a failed medical [The Telegraph] and the rapid winger became available once again.
The Gers didn’t benefit from the collapsed City move in the end, though, as Watford have officially snapped up the England U18 international.
The signing of Baah on a five-year contract was confirmed on Monday afternoon, with BBC Sport later reporting that the Hornets had paid Rochdale an undisclosed six-figure fee.
