Rangers should look no further than Sydney van Hooijdonk, the son of former Celtic player Pierre, to add strength and numbers to the attack next season.
When the 23-year old Netherlands youth international left NAC Breda to join Bolgona on a free transfer in the summer of 2021, it looked as the though the chance to land a quality bargain had gone.

A poor first season in Italy saw him struggle for game time which has seen the Dutch forward return to the Eredivisie on loan with Heerenveen.
This campaign Van Hooijdonk has rediscovered his goal scoring touch though with 16 goals, including two last weekend to make it seven in seven.
His parent side Bologna, and that of Rangers linked midfielder Lewis Ferguson, are pushing for a European place in Serie A and currently sit eighth, level on points with Juventus.
This means that the Rossoblu may decide to cash in on Van Hooijdonk in the summer having coped fine without his services all season.
Why should Sydney van Hooijdonk be on Rangers transfer list?
Capable of playing either through the middle or off the main striker, Van Hooijdonk has a proven track record of finding the back of the net in his homeland.
The Eredivisie is also a league that has considerably better depth than the Scottish Premiership.
The 6ft 3inch tall striker is comfortable in a variety of roles and the easiest comparison to make is with a former Ger.
Cedric Itten is linked with a massive transfer already despite an unsuccessful spell at Ibrox but is the template of what we need.
Tall, comfortable with the ball at feet, a good finisher and can play either wide or as the main striker, qualities that they both share.
It didn’t work out for the Switzerland international at Ibrox but Cedric Itten’s form for Young Boys backs up the original scouting.
Itten was further down the pecking order than he would have wanted to be but there is no reason why Van Hooijdonk couldn’t force his way into a starting role.
Ironically, the Swiss star probably would have fit better into Michael Beale’s system alongside Antonio Colak and Fashion Sakala with two forwards being allowed to rotate but there was a reason Itten was allowed to leave.
Colak will be a good rotation option next season but with Alfredo Morelos likely to be replaced and Sakala not showing the consistency needed to be a regular for Rangers, a quality addition like the big Dutchman is required.
It would also annoy those across the city, given the way that his old man departed Parkhead.
