Leading broadcaster STV have suggested that a Rangers announcement over Sam Lammers is “expected” today after the Dutch striker underwent a medical.
According to a report by the broadcaster, Rangers fans can expect an announcement on the 26-year-old Atalanta striker imminently after a £3.5m deal was struck between the two sides.

The report, which is dated from the 14th of June, claimed that a transfer was “expected” within 24 hours, meaning any Sam Lammers announcement should be made today.
“Sam Lammers is undergoing a medical at Rangers and is close to sealing a £3.5m move from Atalanta to Ibrox.
“The striker, who has also had spells at PSV Eindhoven and Eintracht Frankfurt, is set to become Michael Beale’s fourth signing of the summer.
“Lammers is expected to finalise his move in the next 24 hours.”
Sam Lammers expected to complete Rangers move today
Whilst we’d mused about the potential of a Sam Lammers announcement yesterday, it appears that the Rangers deal to bring the striker from Italy is expected to be confirmed today (15/06).
This will come as a huge boost to Rangers fans, who are eager to see the club invest in their forward line ahead of the new season.
Sam Lammers might not be a prolific striking option, the forwards five league goals at four clubs over three years hardly inspiring sections of the support, but there’s a reason why Atalanta reportedly paid £8m for the forward.

A towering striker with good feet, it hasn’t happened in Italy for Sam Lammers but clearly Michael Beale believes that the Dutchman can find his form at Rangers.
The move also comes after the summer exit of Alfredo Morelos and amid major doubts over the Ibrox futures of Antonio Colak and Kemar Roofe.
Away from Sam Lammers, Rangers have also been extensively linked with a move for Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers, who also spent last season playing in Italy.
