Fourth Official reports that Sheffield United have agreed a fee with Liverpool for £15m-rated Rangers linked striker Rhian Brewster.
The Gers were linked with a loan swoop for the 20-year-old in June [Scottish Sun] following his strong season in the Championship with Swansea City.
Brewster netted 11 times in 22 appearances for the Swans and it was alleged that Steven Gerrard wanted to bring the England youth international – who he had previously worked with at Liverpool – to Ibrox for the 2020/21 campaign.
However, Sun journalist Alan Nixon recently reported that Liverpool were considering selling player, suggesting it was a three-horse race between Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.
Discussions between the Blades and Liverpool allegedly began last week and Fourth Official now claims a fee has been agreed.
The popular Twitter account isn’t a traditional source but the claims have been backed up by two figures described by Empire of the Kop as reliable Liverpool insiders, with the report also picked up by the likes of Wales Online.
No price has been attached to the claim, but last month the Sun rated the player at around £15m [The Sun].

Brewster is a cut above some of the other young players Rangers have brought in on loan from Liverpool since Steven Gerrard’s arrival at Ibrox, such as Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo, as his returns in the Championship and in Liverpool’s pre-season evidence.
Yet, ever since it emerged that the Reds were looking to sell rather than send the player out on loan again, the Gers were effectively out of the running.
We can’t say for sure whether or not Fourth Official’s claim is accurate, but at the very least, Sheffield United look to be closest to a deal, as this long transfer window reaches its final stages.
