Sheffield United have held talks with Rangers linked Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster, with Crystal Palace and Aston Villa also both showing interest, according to Sun journalist, Alan Nixon.
Rangers were linked with a loan move for Brewster in June [Scottish Sun] following his impressive 2019/20 Championship campaign with Swansea City.
The 20-year-old scored 11 times in 22 appearances for the Swans and it was suggested that he could follow in the footsteps of Ryan Kent, Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo by securing a temporary switch to Ibrox to play under former Liverpool academy boss, Steven Gerrard.
Yet, Alan Nixon claims that Liverpool want to sell Brewster rather than loaning him out again, with a viewing to putting the fee towards signing Ismaila Sarr from Watford.
He claims that Sheffield United have already held talks with the player’s representatives and that bids are now imminent with Crystal Palace and Aston Villa also interested.

Brewster performed well for Liverpool in pre-season, so the fact that he was left out of the matchday squad for their opening day Premier League victory over Leeds United suggests a move could be in the pipeline.
If Klopp and co are intent on selling the England youth international rather than sanctioning another loan move, it all but rules out the chances of Rangers landing him.
Brewster was valued at £15 million earlier this summer [The Sun] and the Gers simply don’t have the spending power to compete with three English top-flight clubs, especially after splashing out for Kemar Roofe, Cedric Itten and Ianis Hagi already this summer.
Steven Gerrard has been keen to use his Liverpool links to bolster the Rangers squad since his arrival at Ibrox, to varying degrees of success, but even his legendary status at his former club won’t hold enough sway here.
