One of the current problems at Rangers that Philippe Clement can do little about is moving on the players who he doesn’t rate.
That job isn’t down to the manager but it will be one that he finds frustrating every time he walks into Auchenhowie and sees the squad that he is working with.
One player who was given another chance at the beginning of the season but failed to take it was Scott Wright with the Rangers winger being tipped for a new club.

Scott Wright tipped to be quality Hearts signing
Unfortunately for Clement, it isn’t an offer, it isn’t even interest or a rumour, however, former Gers flying machine Neil McCann believes that Hearts could do a lot worse than look across the M8 to help their creativity when speaking on the BBC after of their clash with Viktoria Plzen:
“I think Scott Wright as well. I know it hasn’t worked out at Rangers but I think he’s got enough in the tank that he might be a good addition at Tynecastle.”
Cast your mind back a year ago and Wright was gone.
He boarded a plane to Turkey after giving an interview to Sky Sports and seemed destined never to return.
Instead, the deal fell through when Wright decided it wasn’t for him despite explaining why he was considering the move in the first place:
“It gives me a chance to go and play a bit more regular football.
“Obviously, I’ve had a conversation with Michael Beale and I need to try and play a wee bit more and we came to the conclusion that maybe it was time to move on.
“The club agreed a fee and I’ll go and have a look and see what I think.

Rumours go quiet as Wright drops down the pecking order
Wright now finds himself at sixth choice in the rankings for the wingers with even Jefte looking more dangerous off the left.
Ross McCausland has looked more decisive, and Rabbi Matondo played well against St Johnstone even if he couldn’t put the finishing touch onto various good runs.
Wright was hooked early in the two starts that he was afforded at the beginning of the campaign, and it is little wonder that interest in the 27-year old has been sparce.
The only consolation is that Wright didn’t cost a lot of money when he was signed and won’t be on big wages either.
A swap deal for Lawrence Shankland would probably be a bit of a stretch.
