Rangers are closing in on Abdallah Sima and could even have a permanent option in their deal for the Brighton and Hove Albion attacker.
The Gers have been heavily linked with Sima in recent days as Michael Beale chases attacking reinforcements.
The Scottish Mail on Sunday were first on this rumour, reporting over the weekend that Rangers were moving closer to signing Sima.
There were also claims from the Daily Record that Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has told Sima he is surplus to requirements.
Rangers now appear to be nearing a deal with TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook reporting that Sima is set to join the Gers soon.

What’s interesting is that The Herald report that Rangers could have an option to keep Sima.
It’s stated that a permanent option as part of the loan is a real possibility – depending in De Zerbi’s stance.
If the Italian doesn’t see Sima as part of his long-term plans at Brighton, then Rangers could have a chance to keep him.
Brighton have qualified for the Europa League and their aims have changed a little since signing Sima for £7million in 2021.
The Seagulls would surely want their money back, so a permanent option wouldn’t be cheap for Rangers.
We have seen Rangers fail to sign one loanee permanently in Malik Tillman but the Gers could try to strike a similar deal for Sima anyway.

Sima spent time in his native Senegal with Medina before heading to France with Thonon Evian.
A 2020 move to the Czech Republic really gave Sima the platform to shine as his potential with MAS Taborsko was spotted by Slavia Prague.
Sima excelled for the Czech giants, hitting 16 goals in 39 games to tempt Brighton into that deal.
Loans to Stoke City and Angers haven’t quite worked out for Sima though and this loan needs to be the making of him.
Still only 22 and with real pace and the versatility to play up front or out wide, Sima could be a valuable attacker for Rangers this season – and possibly beyond.
