Ligue 1 OGC Nice could launch a £10m deadline day move for Rangers midfielder and Finland international Glen Kamara, according to reports.

The Scottish Sun are claiming that the French outfit – who were linked to Kamara earlier in the window – hope to complete the deal before the end of the transfer window tonight.

It would round off a busy window of spending for Nice, who have added the likes of Sofiane Diop, Kasper Schmeichel, Nicolas Pepe and Aaron Ramsey to their ranks this summer.

This means that they are eyeing something of a Rangers reunion with a move for Glen Kamara with the Ibrox club said to be eager to retain the services of the 26-year-old.

The links come after Glen Kamara was reportedly left out of the squad to play Hibs in the Scottish Premiership earlier in August due to interest from Nice.

This was suggested by journalists Graeme Bailey and Craig Vickers in a report via 90min.com but after the midfielder was recalled for the Champions League trip to PSV Eindhoven, all this talk appeared to be quashed.

However, now the Sun have reignited it heading into the final few hours of the window and now Rangers fans face a nervous wait regarding what is going to happen with Glen.

The Gers have already lost Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo for a combined £33m in this window whilst the run to the Europa League Final and Champions League qualification ensures there should be plenty of money in the coffers.

Gers fans are also frustrated amid the latest reports that Rangers are not expecting a busy day in the transfer window with the squad surely viewed as weaker should the club lose Glen Kamara.

As things stand there is a general belief that Rangers require a couple of quality additions on top of any potential Glen Kamara replacement to effectively challenge for the Scottish Premiership title and to compete in the Champions League.

Amid these OGC Nice links to Glen Kamara it is adding extra pressure to a Rangers board under the cosh who really will be taking a gamble by failing to move in this window.

There is a general perception that a lack of action in last summer’s transfer window led to the club surrendering the title to Celtic and if this is to happen again there will surely be hell to pay.
