Rangers winger Ryan Kent has been “offered” to Turkish giants Galatasaray and Besiktas as much speculation continues regarding a new contract.
That’s according to Turkish journalist Gokhan Dinc, who made the claim via his official Twitter page this week.
“Ryan Kent, who plays for Rangers, was offered to Galatasaray,” claims Dinc.
“I even learned this player was recommended to Besiktas.”
The journalist would go on to discuss the claims that Galatasaray could potentially plunge for Ryan Kent in a YouTube video but given it’s in Turkish you’ll forgive us for being a little sketchy on the details.
Turkish outlet Sporx carried Dinc’s claims whilst also suggesting that Ryan Kent will be available for the bones of £15m.
Turkish reports are notoriously unreliable so please take all this with a pinch of salt but the links do come at an interesting time in Ryan Kent’s Rangers career.
The talented winger is entering the final year of his contract at Ibrox and being 25 has a sizeable personal decision to take regarding his future.
Rangers’ Ryan Kent linked to Galatasaray as contract talks rumble on
Rangers paid £7m to sign the winger from Liverpool after Kent impressed on loan in 18/19 and if they cannot agree a new deal will need to sell him this summer or risk losing him for nothing.
For Kent, if the winger does commit to Rangers it’s likely he’d be promising his best footballing years to the club and that’s something which could have influence for any player with Premier League ambitions.
It presents Rangers with a serious dilemma given the immense influence Kent has in the team, albeit the winger still needing to add more numbers to his game to be a more well-rounded player.
Leeds United remain one of the most widely linked clubs – and are about to bank megabucks for Raphinha – but to date there has been no official approach for the player.

How do we know this? Well Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst said so as he claimed Rangers were in negotiations with Ryan Kent – and the rest of the players entering the final year of their deals – regarding a potential new contract.
“We are in talks especially with players who will come into the last year of their contracts,” said van Bronckhorst [Sky Sports].
“In the last year attention will come to your players but so far the interest we have in our players is not very high apart from Joe [Aribo] of course.”
Meanwhile, Rangers have reportedly landed an early-season double-blow on Old Firm rivals Celtic before a ball has been kicked.
