A Daily Record report has claimed that Rangers are awaiting an update from UEFA before making any decisions on Florian Kamberi’s future at the club.
The Swiss-born forward has been on loan with the Gers since January but his initial deal is soon set to expire.

Greg Docherty, who temporarily switched Ibrox for Easter Road as part of the deal, has already returned to Rangers. Yet, it’s asserted that Steven Gerrard has not yet decided whether or not to retain Kamberi.
It’s claimed that an update from UEFA could hold the key in the short-term. The Europa League is still live, with the Gers trailing Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 heading into the second leg of their last 16 tie.
It’s possible the fixture may take place in August but Rangers are said to be awaiting confirmation from UEFA, with it likely that they would have to extend Kamberi’s loan to allow him to feature.
The report should perhaps be taken with a pinch of salt, though.
That’s because club insider account Four Lads Had a Dream tweeted on Tuesday afternoon warning Rangers fans that a story based on ‘conjecture’ would soon be released about Kamberi.
It was claimed that any content in that upcoming story had not been provided by Ibrox staff and therefore was to be disregarded.
Kamberi made nine appearances for the Gers before football was brought to a halt, scoring once and registering two assists.
He’s contracted to Hibernian until 2022 but given that he ruffled a few feathers by referring to Rangers as his dream move, it’s unlikely he’ll be welcomed back in Edinburgh with open arms if a permanent switch is not agreed.
