Club insider Twitter account Four Lads Had a Dream have instructed Rangers fans to ignore imminent reports which may assertions about Florian Kamberi’s future.

The Swiss-born forward joined Rangers on-loan from Hibernian on the final day of the January transfer window.

Greg Docherty had temporarily headed the other way as part of the deal but the Hibees confirmed that he had returned to Ibrox on Monday morning.

Now, it seems that newspapers are preparing to release stories which make claims about Kamberi.

“Any reports on Florian Kamberi’s future is based on conjecture,” tweeted the Four Lads Had a Dream account.

“Neither Rangers or FK have provided any info for any story which appears in the next 24-48 hours. Please be aware of this & share.”

In a later update, Four Lads asserted there have been “no discussions at all between Rangers and FK at this stage.”

Kamberi – who made nine appearances for the Gers before the season was brought to an early conclusion amid the global health crisis – is contracted to Hibernian until 2022.

Unlike the loan deal for Ianis Hagi, there isn’t an exclusive option to buy clause included and it seems as though his future is currently unresolved.

Kamberi’s best performance in a Gers shirt came away at St Johnstone in February when he scored once and created another after coming off the bench.

Given that the player said joining Rangers was his ‘dream’ move [Rangers.co.uk], it’s likely he will eventually want to make his switch permanent. The club’s intentions are as yet unknown, though, and it looks like supporters might be waiting a while longer before a decision is made.
