A Daily Record report has told what Steven Gerrard still ‘wants’ in the transfer window.
The Gers have had a busy summer so far. Multiple new signings have come in, the most recent of which, Joe Aribo, joined up with his teammates during the week.

However, Record journalist, Scott McDermott, who has been in Portugal following Rangers’ pre-season progress, believes more additions are wanted by the manager in order to topple Celtic.
Firstly, he says an experienced centre-back is the priority. Although it’s suggested that landing one of the required quality will cost the club ‘serious money’.
Secondly, it’s asserted that despite signing multiple new wingers, Stevie G still wants to bring back Ryan Kent.
The Liverpool winger was outstanding on loan at Ibrox last season, and the report suggests he would be the final piece of the puzzle. It’s argued that only then, would Rangers have a chance in the league.

Verdict

It seems the manager isn’t yet fully satisfied, and the suggested moves in this report are entirely plausible.
Despite bringing in many new players, the Gers haven’t spent big so far. Therefore, you have to imagine the board would be able to splash out on a suitable additional centre-back.
As for Ryan Kent, his return still appears to be a possibility. His signing is what many of the club’s fans are waiting for.
Getting these two further additions would be the ideal scenario, with defensive cover undoubtedly required.
However, after a lot of efficient work early in the transfer window, Rangers are already well placed to mount a charge across 2019/20.
