Rangers boss Michael Beale is understood to be a huge fan of Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres – but he will be far too expensive.

A number of strikers have already been linked with Rangers, including American international Haji Wright.
Signing Antalyaspor hitman Wright but be ambitious enough with a £7million offer allegedly on the table.
The latest rumour is even loftier though – and sadly even less likely to actually materialise.

Rangers aren’t exactly on their own in fancying signing Gyokeres.
Burnley, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brentford are all thought to be very keen on landing Gyokeres this summer.
The big problem for Rangers will be the price tag, which appears to be far beyond what Rangers could even dream of paying.

The report claims that Coventry want around £30million for Gyokeres this summer.
That’s despite Gyokeres having just a year left on his Sky Blues contract.
The Swede could very easily walk away from Coventry on a free transfer in 2024, but thanking price remains enormous.
It’s a price tag which may not deter some Premier League clubs but it’s far too much for Rangers.
Even if you took Rangers’ two most expensive signings ever – Tore Andre Flo and Ryan Kent – and put them together, it still wouldn’t even reach £20million.
Paying £30million for one player is therefore completely out of Rangers’ range unless there has been an enormous takeover of which we aren’t aware.
Gyokeres is a pipe dream for Rangers; the 25-year-old racked up 21 goals and 12 assists in 49 Championship games this season, including the playoffs.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion talent has become a star at Coventry and looks ready for the Premier League rather than a move to Scotland.
