Celebrated English manager, Harry Redknapp, is impressed by Steven Gerrard’s potential transfer coups.
Recent reports suggest that the Gers are set to land two established Premier League stars this month.
Jermain Defoe, from Bournemouth and Southampton’s club captain, Steven Davis.

“If he gets Steven Davis as well (as Defoe) that would be two amazing signings”, Redknapp told BBC Sport Scotland.
“I could see it making a big difference to their team. They could push Celtic all the way with those two in the team.”
Redknapp knows Defoe particularly well from his time in management.
He picked up the player as a teenager at West Ham, before later taking him to Tottenham and Portsmouth.

Clearly, he is still a big fan of his work.
“He’s a fantastic player. And very fit. I’m sure he’ll score plenty of goals at Rangers.”
These comments will just add to the excitement of Rangers fans. According to a manager who worked day-in-day-out with the striker, age will not be a barrier to success.

Redknapp speaks of a consummate professional, still eager to make his mark.
If Rangers can get both he and Davis over the line in the coming days, they could be on to a winner.
