Nils Koppen and Philippe Clement will be lucky if they get five minutes to themselves today with a lot of work still to be done.
A busy week was expected by the manager, however, he would have wanted to spread the workload around rather than it all being done on deadline day as he looks to improve his squad.
Rangers are hoping to finalise a deal for Feyenoord’s Neraysho Kasanwirjo with the 22-year old versatile defender set to replace Ben Davies who has joined Birmingham City.
According to STV’s Raman Bhardwaj, he won’t be the last arrival today.

Neraysho Kasanwirjo won’t be the last Rangers signing
“Rangers are set to sign defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo on loan from Feyenoord with an option to buy. Can play CB/RB. Was on loan at Rapid Wien last season. Working on other deals.”
A central defender, attacking midfielder and winger seem to be the priority areas with Clement’s prediction not quite coming to fruition, yet:
“I expect a busy week but more busy with incoming and a few outgoing.
“Outgoing, not for players who were in the squad today, that’s clear.
“More outgoings for players who weren’t in the squad.”
Rangers announce departure of Scott Wright
With Davies’ replacement seemingly identified, Rangers now need to fill to spot in the squad vacated by Scott Wright who the club has now confirmed as leaving:
“Rangers FC confirms attacker Scott Wright has joined Birmingham City on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.
“Scott leaves Rangers with the best wishes and thanks of everyone at the club.”
The top target could be Fiorentina’s Josip Brekalo, the 26-year old Croatia international.
An £8.5m signing, Brekalo has found himself out of favour with the Serie A outfit and, like Vaclav Cerny, would be an immediate upgrade for Philippe Clement.
With 12 goals in 120 games, it wouldn’t be hard to better the accomplishments of Wright too.
Kasanwirjo’s name came out of nowhere, which should be seen as encouraging for Rangers fans.
Just because there aren’t rumours, it doesn’t mean that Koppen and Clement aren’t grafting behind the scenes to make something happen.
The consensus is that guaranteed starters are needed.
Promising talent like Clinton Nsiala, Oscar Cortes and Hamza Igamane is part of the plan, but they need support from senior teammates, players who have played at the highest level and know how to win.
If Rangers can replace Wright with Brekalo, Clement will have every right to be pleased with himself.
