Rangers winger Eros Grezda looks set to remain at the club after a move to Qatar failed to materialise.
The Scottish Sun reported last week that two Qatar Stars League outfits, Al Sadd and Al-Rayyan, were both interested in offering the Albanian international an escape from the wilderness at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard later confirmed that the board was considering a loan offer for the player [Daily Record].
However, the Qatari transfer window closed on Monday and as there have been no updates, it looks as though the 24-year-old will be staying put.
If that is the case, it’ll be a long few months for Grezda.
After all, he’s completely frozen out of first-team activities, and while the manager refused to say he would never play for the club again following recent disciplinary action [Daily Record], his chances look slim.

The £1.22m-rated player [Transfermarkt] is currently well down the pecking order in terms of out-and-out wingers at the club. Sheyi Ojo, Ryan Kent, Brandon Barker, Jordan Jones and Jamie Murphy are all more likely picks going forward.
Therefore, it looks like, at least until January, unless an A-League side swoops for him (the Australian window remains open [Transfermarkt]), the best he can realistically hope for is more training with the Colts team and the odd outing in the Glasgow Cup.
It’s far from an ideal scenario for a young international to be in. Yet, when it comes down to it, he really only has himself to blame.
