Steven Gerrard has refused to rule out the possibility of Eros Grezda featuring again for Rangers, as quoted by the Daily Record.
The Albanian international hasn’t played for the first team since last season when he made a substitute appearance away at Motherwell in April.

Since then, the club have recruited multiple new wingers and Grezda has slipped down the pecking order.
Unable to secure a fee for him during the European transfer window, Gerrard sent him to turn out for the Rangers Colts.
Instead of tearing it up and proving his worth, he recently provoked outrage by allegedly spitting on a Ballymena United player in the third round of the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup [Scottish Sun].
Yet, despite the club issuing him with a financial punishment and a loan move to Qatar now looking likely [Scottish Herald], the manager hasn’t totally shut the door on the 24-year-old’s Ibrox career.
Gerrard suggests Rangers winger could feature in future
“We had a chat man-to-man in private and I told him what I thought of the incident,” said Gerrard, as quoted by the Daily Record. “He put his side across and I delivered what the board had decided to punish him, in terms of the financial side.”
“Now it’s up to him. He has a decision when the letter arrives.
“I didn’t say he would never play for the club again but he will be disciplined.”

Verdict
If Grezda does have designs on transforming what has so far been a woeful stint in Glasgow, he could take some heart from Gerrard’s words.
It still looks extremely unlikely that he will feature again for the first team. This season, out-and-out wingers Sheyi Ojo, Brandon Barker, Ryan Kent, Jordan Jones and Jamie Murphy are all ahead of him in the pecking order, with Glenn Middleton and Jake Hastie set to return from loan stints in the summer.
Yet, he does still have three years left on his Rangers contract. Theoretically, if he does go on loan to a Qatari club and he performs and behaves exceptionally while he’s there, he could find a way back next season.
Based on what we’ve seen in his 17 appearances for the Light Blues [Soccerbase], though, he doesn’t have enough to offer.
