The reports claim that Rangers have been watching Palma for a while and that Aris are well aware of the interest, with the player contracted to the Greek club until 2026.

And the winger started the game for Aris as they travelled to Athens to face Olympiakos following a Scottish Premiership style split in the late period of the season.

With Rangers scouts a reportedly watching on, Luis Palma would play around 75 minutes with the player’s eventual substitute Rafael Camacho proving it an inspired decision.

Olympiakos had gone into half-time 1-0 up the match, with Korean midfielder Hwang In-beom – himself linked to Rangers – putting the Greek giants in front ahead of the break.

Olympiakos must’ve also through they were out of sight when centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos netted a second but Aris would produce a late rally to level.

Firstly, ex-Roma star Juan Iturbe pulled one back before Rafael Camacho scored a late winner after replacing Rangers-linked Luis Palma in an eventual 2-2 draw.

The game didn’t give too much away when it comes to the Hondouran winger but some of the names involved show that the Greek Super League has a solid standard of footballer.

Big things are expected in the Gers squad this coming window with Michael Beale himself claiming up to five players could be signed for Rangers in the summer.

Luis Palma certainly represents an interesting option amid the contract situation with Ryan Kent and fans will keep one eye on his progress.

Palma has also been claiming recently that his footballing heroes are Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry, giving an insight into his style of play.
