Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst was coy on any potential Champions League boost the club’s transfer coffers, with fans excited by the prospect of Brazilian midfielder Evander.
The Gers need a deep-lying goalscoring presence from midfield and the FC Midtjylland star – who has 43 goals and 34 assists in 153 games for the Danish club – is viewed by many as the perfect solution.

With a reported £40m set to boost the club’s finances as a result of qualification, attention will turn to how Rangers approach the final week of the transfer window.
Evander had been linked earlier in the week and interestingly there haven’t been any sounds from the club denying potential interest, unlike in the situation with the likes of FCSB star Darius Olaru.
Evander talk of Rangers fans amid van Bronckhorst update
Whilst Gio was not mentioning any names, his response to questions about the transfer budget will have Rangers dreaming of some high profile additions in this window.
With the likes of Evander previously valued at £7m, van Bronckhorst claims “anything can happen”.
“Of course it will impact us. For us, as a player as a coach, you’re only thinking about competing with the best teams in Europe,” said van Bronckhorst [BT Sport].
“We have the opportunity to do so and of course there are many positives we take away from this game.
“The club and the board are also happy that we get more financial opportunities. We always have good conversations and communication in how to spend the money.
“I don’t know (about any business) as I said before it’s seven, eight days to go so anything can happen. We have to be prepared.”
There’s a feeling in the Rangers support that the club are a couple of quality signings off a complete squad and there is expectation heading into these final days, Evander or otherwise.
Domestically Rangers haven’t completely got started despite remaining unbeaten and the feeling is that if the club is to secure the title this season then greater quality is needed.

With Rangers seemingly coy regarding links to Brazilian midfielder Evander, could he be one of two or three names these Champions League riches help Rangers move for?
Meanwhile, one former Rangers coach was snapped watching the Gers overcome PSV Eindhoven with a London-based RSC.
