In the age of the undisclosed fee, fans rarely get to know exactly what has been spent or received on players, however, for Fashion Sakala, Rangers have made a tidy sum.

Respected journalist Chris Jack, who is considered one of the more reliable sources when it comes to all things Ibrox has revealed what the Zambian international has brought in.

Writing in response to speculation on X, The Herald reporter confirmed that Fashion Sakala is making Rangers a lot of money.

Part of a successful player trading model has to be buying players cheap, ideally on Bosman transfers and then selling them at peak value.

Fashion Sakala brings in decent Rangers fee

Fashion Sakala was never going to be a key player, nor was he ever going to suddenly improve and become a 20+ goal a season forward for Rangers.

The 26-year old was also at the two-year point of his career where his value was soon going to depreciate as he approaches his “peak” age.

Reports of £3m have been widespread, however, according to Jack, Fashion Sakala is bringing in £4m for Rangers.

When you consider that Cyriel Dessers, Danilo and Sam Lammers were bought for similar amounts, it is a good fee to bring in for a back-up.

Michael Beale was asked if he would be looking to go back into the market to replace the flying machine but was far from crystal clear in his answer.

From talking about not expecting to lose Sakala to being happy with the forwards he has but also that he might go back into the market.

He used to be indecisive but now he’s not so sure.

What is certain, is that Fashion Sakala, pound for pound, was a good signing for Rangers.

He scored goals, created chances and has made Rangers a tidy profit.

It’s just a shame he didn’t have the composure to score open goals at Hampden.
