Experienced Rangers-supporting player Steven Lawless has found a new club, joining Dunfermline Athletic on a short-term contract.
He had been a free agent since his deal at Motherwell was terminated by mutual consent in October.

Glasgow-born Lawless is a bluenose and he’s made his allegiance to the Gers clear on social media in the past.
In fact, he drew criticism from Motherwell fans in September for a tweet that appeared to make reference to Rangers moving further ahead of Celtic in the league after the Hoops dropped points at home to Dundee United.
Prior to his relatively brief stint at Fir Park, the versatile 30-year-old had represented the likes of Partick Thistle, Livingston and Burton Albion.
He’s now dropped down to the Scottish Championship, joining Dunfermline until the end of the season.
“First and foremost, he’s a real quality player,” said Pars boss John Hughes [Dafc.co.uk]. “He brings experience, he brings SPL experience and he’s probably one who can unlock the door.”
“He’s got a wand of a left foot and he’s one that I have chased ever since I was the manager at Inverness.
“He can take you up the park, he can look after it and I feel he’ll be a fantastic addition.”
Lawless will be available for selection from the start of January and he joins a group at East End Park that contains a number of players with Rangers connections.
Ex-Ibrox midfielder Graham Dorrans is currently serving as Dunfermline’s skipper, while ex-Rangers youth player Rhys Breen is establishing himself at centre-back after a summer transfer and highly-rated winger Kai Kennedy is there on loan.
After a dire start to the season that cost previous manager Peter Grant his job, the Pars will be hoping to climb the table quickly in early 2022.
