Highly rated blue nose Charlie Gilmour has signed for Norwich City.
The 20-year-old midfielder put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Premier League newcomers, with the option for a further season.

The move comes after Gilmour was released by Arsenal after spending over a decade in the club’s youth system. He made his senior debut last season in the Europa League and has been regarded as a fine prospect for some time.
The Scotland youth international is a big Rangers fan and has travelled up to Ibrox for match days in the past. Therefore, plenty of Bears were whipped into a frenzy when Glenn Middleton appeared to hint at a move to Rangers.
Yet, it transpired that the imminent transfer was actually to Middleton’s former club, Norwich.
It was always a little far-fetched that Gilmour would be moving to Rangers.

Steven Gerrard already has a host of midfield players. From the player’s point of view, it’s also little surprise that he’s chosen to stay in England in an attempt to play Premier League football.
If he can break into the Canaries first team over the upcoming season, Unai Emery may live to regret letting him go.
