Rangers starlet Kieran Wright has joined League One strugglers Alloa Athletic on an emergency loan deal [Alloaathletic.co.uk].
Alloa boss Barry Ferguson found himself short of options between the sticks ahead of the Wasps’ league fixture against Queen’s Park on Sunday and has called in a favour from his old club.

Wright joins the third-tier outfit on a week-long deal.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper has spent time on loan at Alloa before, joining on a similarly short-term deal at the back end of the 2019/20 season.
That was one of five previous loan stints away from Rangers, with the most recent coming at Partick Thistle last season.
The Scotland youth international spent pre-season with the Rangers first-team and made the bench for an Old Firm in August after Allan McGregor and Jon McLaughlin were both ruled out following a Covid outbreak.
Aside from a Challenge Cup outing against Ayr United, he’s played little to no competitive football since returning from his stint with the Jags, though, and he’ll no doubt be looking forward to getting 90 minutes under his belt this weekend.

Alloa are aiming for promotion straight back to the Championship after being relegated from the second tier last season but they have started the 2021/22 campaign poorly.
Ferguson’s side have won just three of their opening ten fixtures and are eighth in the ten-team division on eleven points.
