Rangers star Ianis Hagi is seen as the ‘ideal option’ for RB Leipzig this month as the Bundesliga side look to replace the injured Dominik Szoboszlai, according to DigiSport.
Hagi struggled for regular playing time over the first few months of the season, but is currently in good form, scoring in three of his last seven appearances and making an impact off the bench during Saturday’s 1-0 win over Celtic.

With eight, he is also currently the joint top assist provider in the Premiership.
The 22-year-old only signed permanently for the Gers in the summer following a loan spell from Genk and is under contract until 2024.
However, Romanian outlet DigiSport claims that RB Leipzig want to bring him to Saxony this month.
With key creator Szoboszlai set to be out for a substantial period, the Bundesliga club want a replacement and allegedly feel that Hagi possesses similar qualities to the Hungary international.
Leipzig are currently second in the German top-flight, just two points behind leaders Bayern Munich, and are looking to mount a challenge for the Champions League under Julian Nagelsmann.

Despite only being founded in 2009, they reached the semi-finals of last season’s competition and are set to face Liverpool across two legs in the Round of 16 in February.
Hagi has Champions League experience from his time at Genk, but while a move to Leipzig would be considered a step up due to their lofty ambitions in Europe’s elite club competition, it would be a surprise if he left Ibrox so early, especially with silverware in sight.
One exciting young talent is expected to leave Rangers on loan in a matter of hours though, with a Championship club reportedly circling.
