Rangers look set to announce the loan signing of Fabio Silva from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a deal that will be a massive coup for the club.
Signed for a reported £35m by the Premier League side, the 21-year old has yet to hit the heights expected of him as a teenager.
There was a lot of talk about Celtic’s interest, however, Rangers appear to have won the race with Stevie Clifford of the Four Lads Had a Dream podcast revealing that Fabio Silva won’t be a stranger to Ibrox.

Rangers have impressed Fabio Silva with personal tour
Writing on X, Clifford was reacting to the story first broken by Italian journalist Luca Bendoni who reported that Rangers had won the race to sign the talented striker.
“Silva has already been here and visited, clearly sold on what we are trying to do and should be confirmed soon.
“Not sure what he is like beyond the hype of him originally, am I guilty (like the summer) of trusting the manager and seeing what he is like? Probably.”
The Auchenhowie training ground and Ibrox are facilities that the club should be proud of and, when it comes to landing top transfer targets, can make the difference.
It might be taken for granted but, the atmosphere for Europa League games will have been noticed too and qualifying for the last 16 will be attractive for potential new recruits.
Silva has experienced this first hand as a teenager playing for Porto when Alfredo Morelos stole the show.
Rangers have a lot to offer all but the very best players on the continent and Fabio Silva has clearly been impressed with what he has seen.
In a straight fight with Celtic, there isn’t much of a contest in terms of facilities and the European progress will only have cemented his decision.
As reported by Bendoni, it is only a short term loan with no option to buy but spells at Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven last season were encouraging.
There’s not been an official announcement just yet by Rangers but it looks already as if Fabio Silva has good taste.
