Rangers have been linked with a move for Ryan Kent over recent days with the Fenerbahce winger being a hot topic of conversation.
The 27-year old’s last season at Ibrox was nothing to write home about and blotted his copy book from previous seasons.
On a short-term loan deal it probably makes sense due to the lack of natural width in the squad and Rangers have been urged to bring Ryan Kent back by Graham Dorrans, as told to the Go Radio Football Show.

Rangers move for Ryan Kent given former teammate backing
Kent is a symbol, almost, of the systematic failure of the squad that Steven Gerrard built beginning in 2018.
Yes, they won the league in 2020/21 and restored our reputation in Europe, however, they consistently underperformed in domestic cup competitions and capitulated when retaining the Scottish Premiership title seemed easier than it was to lose.
Speaking about the speculation linking Rangers with a return for Ryan Kent, Dorrans said:
“He’s been there and done it.
“The last three or four months of his spell went downhill a bit but it will be determined by if the manager has seen enough of him, if he sees fit to bring him back in.
“He might have come in with his own players in mind, people he wants to bring in. In terms of what Kent can bring, you’ve seen it.

“Rangers are lacking players in the wide area, you’ve got Ross McCausland coming in as the only real winger at the minute with Matondo being injured.
“It’s definitely an area that needs improved and needs number. If there’s an opportunity to get him back, I think they should.”
There fire causing the smoke in this fire might be Philippe Clement’s previous bid for Kent when he was the Brugge manager.
Dorrans in right in that there is a short-term gap that needs to be filled and it would be easier for fans to understand Rangers moving for Ryan Kent if that was the reason given.
It is notoriously difficult to recruit in January and Kent may be seen as a better option than taking a punt on a player similar to Amad Diallo when he was signed by Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Either way, his almost guaranteed starting position might not be as secure as it used to be and he won’t be walking back into the team – if he can find a babysitter for his crocodile that is.
