As Rangers’ transfer window slams shut most of the focus will be on the signing of Welsh international midfielder Aaron Ramsey from Juventus.
The ex-Arsenal midfielder is a player of immense quality and profile and this could stand as one of the biggest Scottish Premiership moves in living memory.
Rangers also added American international James Sands on an 18-month loan deal, whilst potential £37m Man United wonderkid Amad Diallo has been recruited until the end of the campaign.
Polish U21 international full-back Mateusz Zukowski has also been recruited to replace Nathan Patterson, Rangers’ only major departure of the window.
The Scotland international full-back has joined Everton in a reported £16m deal in a record-breaking transfer that for Rangers.
But it’s in the fact Nathan Patterson is the only major first-team player to leave – with fringe stars Juninho Bacuna (Birmingham City) and Brandon Barker (released) also leaving – where Rangers’ success in the transfer window comes into focus.
Rangers bolster squad in transfer window as focus shifts to contracts
Before the window Rangers fans wanted a dynamic goalscoring midfielder and a right-winger and the club have gone out and delivered with two major signings in Ramsey and Diallo.
But the fact that Rangers haven’t lost any of the club’s key players meant that not only did the Gers bolster the squad in the window, they also retained their best players.
The likes of Joe Aribo, Ryan Kent, Borna Barisic, Glen Kamara and even Alfredo Morelos were all linked with the Ibrox exit door in January but Rangers have managed to retain the services of their best players.
Now the focus will be on tying some of these key stars down with Joe Aribo, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos all in the final 18 months of their current deals.

By retaining the players beyond January, Rangers have given themselves a strong chance to do this but if the club cannot get deals over the line then we suspect it could be a busy summer at Ibrox.
But before then Rangers will be happy to have their biggest talents in the squad as the Scottish Premiership title race enters its final 15 games.
Meanwhile, Juventus have invested in a £7.2m midfielder to replace Aaron Ramsey as a Swiss international comes into the club.
