Juventus have signed Swiss international Denis Zakaria to replace Aaron Ramsey at Juventus following the Welsh international’s sensational loan move to Rangers.
Gers fans are still pinching themselves after securing the 31-year-old midfielder for the next six months in a move that is amongst the biggest in Scottish football history.
With Juventus subsidising the deal given that Aaron Ramsey earns £400k per week – making him the highest-paid British footballer of all time – Juventus’ loss is very much Rangers’ gain.
But in what proved to be a busy January for the Old Lady, the Italian giants have already signed a replacement for Ramsey in the shape of Denis Zakaria.
Announcing the move on deadline day, according to reports, Juventus will pay Borussia Mönchengladbach an initial £3.7m (€4.5m) to sign the Swiss midfielder.
Juventus sign Denis Zakaria as Aaron Ramsey moves to Rangers
This could rise to £7.2m (€8.6m) depending on a series of add-ons related to the success of Denis Zakaria at Juventus, with the move being announced on Deadline Day [Juventus].
The move for Denis Zakaria also comes after the Italian giants splashed out on form Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serbian forward, 22, had netted 20 goals in 24 games for Fiorentina this season and Juventus have splashed out an initial £58m (€70m) rising to £67m (€80m) to bring the striker to Turin [ESPN].
With Aaron Ramsey struggling for minutes at Juventus – the Welshman has played only 112 of them this season – the move to Rangers presents a big opportunity for the ex-Arsenal star.
In a World Cup year, Aaron Ramsey will get more minutes in a competitive squad and environment with huge pressures to deliver every single week.

Juventus clearly don’t see the midfielder as part of their plans and the signing of Denis Zakaria is more evidence that Aaron Ramsey is better off in Scotland than Italy.
But for Rangers fans hoping the midfielder can come in an make an impact against Celtic right away, they’re set to be bitterly disappointed.
