Rangers have now been told they can sign Matija Frigan if they send a bid worth £5.2m bid to HNK Rijeka.
That is according to Football Insider.
Michael Beale will have to move quickly if he wants to sign the Croatian – however – as another side has already made an offer.
What’s the story?
Well, Dinamo Zagreb are also keen to sign Frigan this summer, and Football Insider believe the Croatian giants have submitted a £3m bid.
However, it was rejected as HNK Rijeka demand £5.2m for their No.24’s signature.
Talks between Dinamo Zagreb and HNK Rijeka are now said to have stalled, which opens the door for Rangers to barge their way into proceedings.

The Gers have already made an enquiry about Frigan’s availability as Beale looks to find a replacement for Alfredo Morelos, who has left following the expiry of his contract.
If Rangers were to meet the £5.2m asking price, the Rijeka-born striker would leapfrog the £4.5m Arthur Numan to become the sixth most expensive signing in club history at Ibrox.
Frigan represents an exciting target for Rangers
While Frigan still has a lot of developing to do at the age of just 20, his efforts in senior football so far make him an exciting transfer target for Rangers.
The Croatian wonderkid has impressively scored 15 goals in 31 appearances this season, with Football Talent Scout’s Jacek Kulig comparing his playing style to that of Lazio icon Ciro Immobile.
Throughout his career, the Italian has scored 318 goals, and even won the European Golden Shoe in 2019/20.
Therefore, if Frigan can become even a fraction as good as Immobile, that £5.2m asking price is certainly worth paying.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as the ball is now in Rangers’ court after HNK Rijeka made their asking price crystal clear.
