The agent of highly-rated Rangers-linked Israeli wonderkid Oscar Gloukh has told watching clubs the player will cost £5m – but ruled out a move to the likes of Spurs in the Premier League.
Whilst Shahar Greenberg didn’t make mention of the English Premier League outfit specifically, the agent has ruled out a move to England amid links to several top clubs around Europe.

Mentioning the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Ajax, Zenit St Petersburg and Feyenoord, it’s clear that there is plenty of interest in the 18-year-old Maccabi Tel Aviv star.
But Greenberg is also clear the player’s next move will need to be the right one for Oscar Gloukh with the playmaker currently in talks with AS Monaco despite the fact he is expected to stay in Israel until the summer.
“We are doing the work behind the scenes, we need to find Oscar the right place,” said Greenberg regarding Rangers-linked Gloukh [Sport 5].
“Once in a generation a player like Oskar Gloukh grows up. Decisions about his future should be thought out and in a good way. He is a very special player.
“We are constantly thinking about the future, what is the right thing to do next. The best thing for Oskar Gloch is to stay at Maccabi Tel Aviv until the end of the season, and I reckon that’s what will happen.
“As football is football, things are dynamic and if the right offer comes, then things can change.
“His real value is a little more than €6m (£5m), the question is where will he go. Maccabi Tel Aviv will also agree to sell him for less if it is to a group that can develop him and that in the future Maccabi Tel Aviv will have a percentage of a future sale.
“There is a certain process here and he has to go to his rightful place. Aimed in the direction of clubs of the size of Dortmund, Ajax, Feyenoord and Hoffenheim. England is less on the agenda at the moment, it shouldn’t be Oscar’s next step.”
Rangers-linked Oscar Gloukh a wanted man around Europe
The Rangers links to Oscar Gloukh originate from the summer’s U19s European Championships where Andy Barnett – an Israeli-based Heart & Hand podcaster – claimed he’d heard Rangers were one of a number of clubs watching the player at the tournament.
However, it is telling that Rangers haven’t been mentioned by Shahar Greenberg even if the fact the player is not likely to move to England is a bonus.
The likes of Tottenham Hotspur have previously been said to be leading the pack but it appears clear a move to England is off the cards for Oscar Gloukh, even if a move to Rangers doesn’t exactly appear on.
Oscar Gloukh has already made 31 appearances for Maccabi Tel Aviv, scoring nine goals and laying on six assists, whilst the attacking midfielder has already played twice for the Israel national team, scoring once.
Meanwhile, one former Rangers star has officially announced his retirement.
