Ryan Kent arrived at Rangers on loan from Liverpool, towards the end of July.
He immediately became a regular in the first team, taking up a berth on the left flank.
The 22-year-old’s pace and trickery were there for all to see, even if the end product was sometimes missing.
It took eleven matches for Kent to open his account for the Gers. Since then, he has added two others in all competitions, as well as three SPL assists.

However, he has missed a host of matches through injury and that has had a big impact on his returns.
It’s not all about the stats with this guy, though. Some players bring a lot more than that to the table.
Kent is an an outlet, an asset on the counter attack and can beat players one-on-one. When he’s in the team, Rangers are noticeably more dynamic.

That’s why, securing his services on a permanent basis, should be a main priority between now and the end of the month.
A respected club insider claimed that informal discussions to that end had begun with Liverpool.
Shortly afterwards, Mark Allen confirmed talks were taking place.
Yet, that was over a week ago and there have been no further updates.
Kent’s magical Old Firm display, was his best in a Rangers shirt and undoubtedly a sign of even better things to come.

When those performances come, though, his value will continue to climb. It’s currently estimated at £1.58 million by Transfermarkt, but it won’t stay that way forever.
Rangers must get this one sown up before they face competition.
Or, even worse, in case Liverpool decide they need to hold on to him.
