Rangers overcame years of disappointment this afternoon, finally winning an Old Firm game at Ibrox.
It was a stunning performance from start to finish from Steven Gerrard’s men, who fully deserved the victory.

As could could be expected, Twitter was awash with celebrations in the aftermath of the game.
Rangers were brilliant to a man, but one loanee was singled out for particular praise by Bears.
Ryan Kent outstanding

The 21-year-old winger has missed a lot of football recently. Two consecutive hamstring injuries ensured that before today’s fixture, he had only appeared once since the win at St Mirren on 3rd November.
Yet, it looked as though he’d never been away. He was sharp, skilful and full of running throughout the game.
He gave Celtic and Scott Brown in particular, a torrid time. Obviously, the Gers fans loved that.

His most telling contribution, was an outstanding assist for Ryan Jack’s winner.
The winger picked the ball up on the left touchline, charged toward the byline, before dummying a cross and cutting back inside.
The movement took Celtic right-back Mikael Lustig completely out the game, before he calmly picked out Jack to finish the job.
Twitter subsequently exploded.

After a performance like that, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool would actually let him go permanently.
However, if there is any chance that Rangers can get a deal done for this player, they surely have to make it happen.
He ran rings around Celtic today, and Gers fans clearly want to see a lot more of that in the years to come.
