Rangers have stuttered in the transfer market with it being over two weeks since Philippe Clement welcomed Robin Propper to the club.
The manager has a squad that is starting to look stronger in places, however, there are still key positions that need to be upgraded.
One area that saw some concern recently was left-back, the moment that Ridvan Yilmaz pulled up after attempting to fire Rangers in front against Dynamo Kyiv.

Rangers linked with left-back Domagoj Bradaric
The Turkey international’s injury isn’t as bad as first feared, however, Rangers have been linked with a move for Croatian left-back Domagoj Bradaric.
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Nils Koppen had approached Salernitana about a potential loan with an option to buy.
The Serie B outfit are keen to sell, however, they are looking to seal an obligation to buy clause as part of any potential transfer.
Rangers News’ information is that Bradaric’s representatives have been spoken to but no official offer has yet been made to the Italians.
What this looks like, is that Rangers have identified a plan B.
Jefte was outstanding against St Johnstone and offered just as much a threat from left-back as he has done from left wing in recent appearances.
His aggressive running power, dribbling and intent to get into the box could be a huge asset this season, especially against more stubborn defences.
Bradaric signing would contradict Clement claim
Speaking before the clash against St Johnstone, Clement was asked if an emergency signing would have to be made to cover Ridvan’s absence:
“I don’t think we have the assets to do those things (bring in another left-back), we have to put all the focus on the positions we need for the squad for the rest of the season.
“Bringing in another full-back now and to have Ridvan and have Jefte – and we have a third one with Robbie Fraser who has made a good evolution in the last couple of months.
“So it is his time to take his chance and he did positive things in the pre-season.
“To give chances to guys coming out of the academy is also part of the story.”
One thing Clement has done since becoming Rangers manager is shoot from the hip.
He has been consistent when it comes to speaking about transfers and honest when responding to questions about the futures of his own players – sometimes too honest.
What he also does, is back his players.
Even with the game close, Clement didn’t have any fears about playing Robbie Fraser against St Johnstone and has spoken highly of him in the past.
He also has Dujon Sterling capable of covering at left-back too.
With four options in the squad, Clement is right, he doesn’t need another and money has to be prioritised elsewhere in areas that are short.
Rangers, for once though, appear to have covered their bases by approaching Bradaric, just in case.
