Rangers have reportedly identified a potential replacement for Jack Butland, who could be on his way out this summer.
The English keeper has been the number one for the Light Blues since he joined in 2023 after his deal at Crystal Palace ran out.
Since then, Butland has made 157 appearances for the club in all competitions, keeping 55 clean sheets.
How much can Rangers expect from Jack Butland’s sale?
He is now in the final year of his contract…
Sebastiano Desplanches emerges on Rangers’ radar
Rangers are eyeing a summer transfer for Palermo goalkeeper Sebastiano Desplanches, according to Luca Bendoni.
The Sky Sports journalist has claimed that, along with the Light Blues, Norwich City are also showing an interest in the 23-year-old.
There are other sides in Europe also keeping tabs on the Italian goalkeeper, who won the Golden Glove award in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup back in 2023.
Rangers want to sign Pierce Charles…
What does this mean for Jack Butland? 🤔
The Gers’ interest comes amid the possibility of Butland parting ways with the club permanently at the end of the season.
Pierce Charles was on Rangers’ radar back when Danny Rohl was the manager, but it remains unclear if Derek McInnes fancies the Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper.
Sunderland’s Anthony Patterson also has admirers at Ibrox, so there are other options being considered, along with Desplanches.

What is the latest on Jack Butland’s future?
By the looks of it, McInnes plans on upgrading the number one position at Rangers, putting Butland’s future in doubt.
The fact that Rangers are considering including Butland in the deal to sign Hull City’s Ivor Pandur suggests that he is on his way out.
Nottingham Forest have also been credited with an interest in the 33-year-old, but are yet to make a concrete offer to sign him.
New keepers are emerging on the Gers’ radar frequently, which makes it clear that they are looking at all the options out there and it does not bode well for their current number one.
The Light Blues are open to bids for Butland, and as things stand, he is likelier to leave than stay, especially as Liam Kelly has signed an extension under the assumption that he will be the second choice.
