Rangers are amongst several clubs said to be tracking West Ham star Emmanuel Longelo amid exit links concerning two Gers left-backs.
The 21-year-old Hammers full-back has found chances at a premium in East London ever since making his debut in a Europa League clash with Dinamo Zagreb last season.
As a result, with this being Longelo’s only first-team appearance, Rangers have been mentioned alongside the likes of Premier League newboys Bournemouth in the Scottish Sun.
Championship side Millwall have also been mentioned with Premiership rivals Hibs another who are said to be tracking Emmanuel Longelo.
Rangers Emmanuel Longelo links come amid exit reports
The report claims that any Rangers interest could depend on the future of Nigerian international Calvin Bassey, who has been linked with a Premier League move this summer.
Rangers signed the Nigerian left-back from Leicester City on a pre-contract agreement and since then he has developed into one of the club’s top targets.
Aston Villa are said to be topping the list of suitors as Rangers brace themselves for offers for the impressive youngster.
Emmanuel Longelo could be seen as a replacement for Calvin Bassey if any move materialises but the Nigerian isn’t the only left-back being linked with the Ibrox exit door.
According to reports, Rangers are considering a summer move for a new left-back given the inconsistent nature of Borna Barisic’s performances [The Athletic].

This area is said to be one of four spots the Gers are looking to improve this summer so links to Emmanuel Longelo do make sense as things stand.
The West Ham youngster isn’t the only left-back plying his trade south of the border who is said to be interesting Rangers either.
Rangers have also been linked with a move for one left-back who is reportedly valued at £5m by his current side.
