Rangers have been named amongst the leading contenders to sign Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale in the summer – with some dreaming of a partnership with Aaron Ramsey.
The 32-year-old right winger is out of contract in the summer after nine up-and-down years in the Spanish capital following a £85.3m move from Tottenham in 2013.

Rangers fans had previously flirted with the idea of signing the Welsh international but for the first time there has been a genuine report linking the Ibrox club and Gareth Bale.
Spurs, Newcastle, AC Milan and Rangers are all listed by Spanish outlet Sport as being the clubs that Gareth Bale could wind up signing for in the summer.
A return to Cardiff is also mooted with retirement another option.
It’s esteemed company and we’re not sure Rangers could put together the financial package to compete with this sides, but in a purely footballing sense the Gers have plenty to offer.
History, prestige, a huge fanbase and the opportunity to play in Europe and win trophies are a lure for any player but we’re listing this as a long-shot in any case
But perhaps Gareth Bale would also enjoy the opportunity to link up with Juventus star Aaron Ramsey, who is currently on loan at Rangers.
Gareth Bale Wales teammate Aaron Ramsey coy on Rangers future
Whilst the deal is set to expire at the end of the season, there are murmurs of potential Rangers interest in taking the midfielder next year too.
Aaron Ramsey even fielded questions regarding a potential Rangers move in a recent press conference.
“Now is not the time to go into too much detail,” said Ramsey [Rangers].
“I still have a year left at Juventus so I will have to reassess the situation in the summer and see what they are thinking and we will go from there.
“Those are thoughts and discussions to be having after the season so no update on that.”
It’s certainly up in air and this latest news regarding Gareth Bale will have Rangers dreaming of a world-class Welsh partnership next season.
Meanwhile, Aaron Ramsey has been discussing the “pressure” he is under to deliver at Rangers.
