Rangers have only really been linked with a couple of strikers in this transfer window, however, a new names in Tommy Conway is one to get excited about.
The adopted Scot rose to prominence last year, hitting double figures for Bristol City in the Championship and Gers boss Philippe Clement is said to be an admirer.
Rangers squad needs more goalscorers in it but what type of player would the Ibrox faithful be getting with Tommy Conway? He compares favourably with a European football great.

Rangers-linked Tommy Conway dreams of gatecrashing Euros
Conway, although born in England, is a Scotland Under-21 international but is pushing hard to be selected for the senior team.
Speaking after dumping West Ham United out of the FA Cup, the 21-year old’s ambitions prove that he is clearly not short of confidence when asked if he thought he could make Steve Clarke’s squad:
“Yeah, I don’t see why not. Obviously there’s competition in my position, but I don’t see why I can’t be challenging those boys who have been called up before. It will be an interesting one, but I can only get there if I’m performing well for my club so that’s my main focus at the minute.
“It’s all on me and I can only control what I can do. It’s all in my hands. I know what I need to do to get in front of the eyes of the Scotland manager. The international stuff, I’m still so young, so I’m just focusing on my club football and whatever happens on the outside, happens.”
What could Rangers fans expect from Tommy Conway?
So, other than knowing where the goals are and having no issues with confidence, how does Tommy Conway compare to other players and what could Rangers fans expect?
Using DataMB, Conway compares favourably with one of the finest leading men in Europe – Olivier Giroud.

Conway is over 6ft tall and powerfully built for his age but it is at the sharp end where he does his best work.
In terms of expected assists, non-penalty goals, passes to the box and received passes, there isn’t much between them, although Conway isn’t surrounded by players who are quite as good.
What is impressive, is how far his goals outweigh his expected goals, which is exactly what Rangers need.
Someone who can score more half chances and miss fewer big chances, especially in big games.
With a year and a half left of his current deal, The Robins have a degree of strength but, with international aspirations, Tommy Conway could do Rangers a favour if he fancies heading to Ibrox.
Despite his age, I’d still take Olivier Giroud, however, I would also be happy with the next best thing too.
