Brighton are well known for having one of the most well-structured recruitment and player trading models with one time Rangers target Deniz Undav proving to be no different.
The 27-year old is out on loan at Stuttgart this season, driving the Bundesliga to their highest position for over a decade with 15 goals and five assists in 21 appearances.
But it is the deal that was arranged by the Premier League outfit that sees Deniz Undav, who is a player that could have been on Rangers radar, now too expensive for a side with Champions League ambitions.

According to Get Football News Germany, Undav has an option to buy clause in his contract.
The problem for Stuttgart, is that the originally reported €12m (£10.2m) is now said to be close to double that amount and in the region of £17m due to the clause being linked to his performances.
This might seem steep, however, Undav’s form is almost certain to get him into Germany’s squad for the European Championships.

It’s only really Brighton where he hasn’t been able to settle.
At Union Saint Gilloise, an impressive 45 goals and 18 assists in 70 appearances, added to his Bundesliga record show that he is an elite level striker.
Brighton have scouted a good player, it just hasn’t worked out, much in the way that Abdallah Sima was flying for Rangers before injury curtailed his season.
This is where the loan market can work out for clubs.
Undav’s value was dropping at Brighton, now though, they are set to turn a £6m signing who was providing them with very little into a tidy £10+ profit because, if Stuttgart don’t, someone will take him out of their hands.
Unfortunately, that someone won’t be Rangers because, like the Germans, he is a little out of Philippe Clement’s price range now.
