The Eden Hazard summer transfer saga continues as familiar Rangers foes and Belgian outfit USG become the latest club to be linked to the winger.
According to a report in the ordinarily reputable AS Diario in Spain, the 32-year-old is considering an offer from the Belgian Pro League side as he mulls over retirement.
It comes with ex-Chelsea star Eden Hazard having been released from his Real Madrid contract one year early in the summer.
The report claims that Eden Hazard is genuinely considering the offer from the upstart Belgian side, USG – or Union Saint Gilloise – having climbed up the national divisions over the last few seasons.
Financed by substantial investment in 2016, the club have come close to winning the Belgian Pro League title in recent seasons and even faced Rangers in the Champions League qualifiers last season.
The club are in the Europa League this season in a group with Liverpool, LASK and Toulouse, kicking off their group stages with a 1-1 draw against the French side in midweek.

Eden Hazard mulls over USG offer
The story goes that USG hope to lure Eden Hazard back to Brussels, and away from his home in Madrid, with the opportunity to live and work in the same city as his brothers.
Thorgan Hazard is currently at Anderlecht with other brother, Kylian Hazard, playing at newly promoted RWD Molenbeek.
Describing Eden Hazard’s initial response to the USG offer as “lukewarm” the attacker will take some time to mull over the offer before making his decision.
Rangers fans will be watching the situation closely amid rumours in the summer that the Ibrox club were genuinely interested in the legendary Belgian winger.

Whilst these links are clearly ambitious – if not a little delusional – they do have some substance given Four Lads Had a Dream asked the club heading into the transfer deadline.
With the situation seemingly laughed out of Ibrox, there were also other links to Rangers via claims of an offer from an unnamed Scottish club in AS Diario earlier in the summer.
