Rangers linked midfielder Billy Gilmour is set for a medical at Norwich City later this week after agreeing to join the newly-promoted Premier League club on a season-long loan deal, according to Sky Sports.
The Chelsea star started his career with the Rangers Academy before moving to Stamford Bridge in 2017.

Despite showing huge potential during the second half of the 2019/20 campaign, he struggled for game time last season and was linked with a return to Glasgow on loan.
No move materialised but links resurfaced recently, with a BBC report suggesting that the lure of the Champions League was keeping the Gers in the hunt.
Rangers fans would delighted to have the Scotland star – who was recently hailed as ‘fantastic’ by Jose Mourinho following a Man of the Match display against England at Euro 2020 [talkSPORT] – strutting his stuff at Ibrox.
Several Premier League clubs have been credited with interest for some time, too, though, and it looks as though Norwich are going to win the race.
Sky Sports reports that Gilmour has agreed to join the Canaries on loan for the 2021/22 season and will have a medical later this week after he completes his isolation period following a positive Covid test.
It’s asserted that although Chelsea are open to a loan exit, they see Gilmour’s long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

No Rangers return for Gilmour
Barring a dramatic last-minute change of plan, it doesn’t look like Gilmour will be returning to Glasgow.
Supporters will see this as a considerable shame, given his ability and ties to the club, but it’s not a huge surprise.
Even though Rangers have a chance of reaching the Champions League proper this season, Chelsea were always likely to want their player turning out in the Premier League week in week out rather than the Scottish Premiership.
Thomas Tuchel’s connection with Norwich boss Daniel Farke was also always likely to give the Canaries an edge and it’ll be a big coup for them if they can get this deal over the line.
Rangers have also been dealt an apparent blow in their pursuit of a 23-year-old midfielder.
