Rangers remain in hot pursuit of Tromso midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl despite signing Vanja Dragojevic from FK Partizan.
The Serbian’s arrival meant that the Light Blues have signed seven players this summer, including three midfielders.
Despite that, Hjerto-Dahl remains a priority, but work remains to be done on that deal.
What are your expectations from Jens Hjerto-Dahl at Rangers?
Rangers appear to be closing in on his signing!
Rangers not expected to budge from their valuation of Jens Hjerto-Dahl
Four Lads Had a Dream’s Steven Clifford has stated that the Light Blues will sign Hjerto-Dahl late in the window if he is to move to Ibrox.
He has claimed that the club are sticking to their valuation of the 20-year-old and are not expected to budge from it.
Hjerto-Dahl is keen on a move to Rangers and personal terms have also been agreed.
How will John Souttar be remembered at Ibrox?
He seems to have played his last game for Rangers…
However, Cardiff’s interest does complicate things, and if Tromso are to accept their offer, the Gers would have to match that, or the midfielder would have to reject a move to the Welsh club for him to join the Ibrox outfit.
Thus far, Rangers News understands that Cardiff have also not made a bid that has met Tromso’s valuation, so they are not in the driver’s seat, as per reports elsewhere.
Are Rangers making a mistake with their approach?
It is clear that the Serbian fancies a move to Rangers over Cardiff, which is why he has agreed personal terms with them.
Tromso know they have an asset on their hands and want to do everything they can to make big money from his sale.

Cardiff have shown their willingness to enter a bidding war, but at the end of the day, it is down to the player.
If he fails to agree terms with the Welsh club and only wants Rangers, a compromise could be reached.
However, as mentioned above, that is not expected to happen imminently, so the transfer saga is expected to drag on for a few more weeks.
