Rangers move for Jose Cifuentes has a clear timeline as the LAFC midfield looks to lead his side to Concacaf Champions League glory.

The 24-year old appears to be the missing piece in Michael Beale’s engine room and a deal is believed to be imminent.

Fabrizio Romano has been heavily involved in the reporting is the potential deal with the transfer guru now claiming via GiveMeSport, that the finer details still need to be ironed out.

Cifuentes’s season finishes on the 5th of June so, hopefully, things will accelerate from there.

Beale will want to get all the key players in early so that they can hit the ground running in pre-season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, it’s looking good, so far:

It is possible. The conversation is ongoing with his agents, but it’s not done yet.

“They are still discussing the terms of the contract, the length of the contract and some of the salary details, but there is a conversation ongoing.”

Michael Beale will be dying to get as much work done as possible as quickly as possible so that he has more time available to fine tune his squad.

The last thing he would want is trying to plan for Champions League qualifiers whilst also speaking to players and negotiating with those that maybe want to leave and have been deemed surplus to requirements.

As for Jose Cifuentes, there certainly hasn’t been anything from Romano in recent revelations to suggest that other teams are battling for his signature.

That there has been no mention of the clubs and/or player being apart on terms is also a positive, one Ecuadorean outlet claiming that the deal is 95% done.

With two already signed, after this weekend, the next two shouldn’t be far behind, if the Gers gaffer gets his way that is.
