Rangers seemingly won’t be signing Maribor striker Zan Vipotnik this summer – but he could end up joining Celtic.
The Gers are desperately seeking a new striker or two this summer and the rumour mill keeps on churning.
Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers are the latest strikers being linked with Rangers whilst Troyes forward Ike Ugbo is also wanted.
Michael Beale and co must search for and wide for a new goalscorer with Alfredo Morelos on his way out this summer.
However, Football Scotland report that Maribor hitman Zan Vipotnik will not be arriving at Ibrox.
It’s stated that despite murmurs that Rangers want Vipotnik, Beale’s men are not in the race for his signature.
Vipotnik has come up through the Maribor ranks and is now a first-team player after loan spells at Gorica and Triglav Kranj.
The 21-year-old has been in sensational form this season, smashing 20 goals in 39 games over in Slovenia’s top flight.
Now a Slovenian international with two caps and one goal to his name, Vipotnik appears to have a big future ahead of him – but that future won’t be with Rangers.

Just because Rangers aren’t in the mix for Vipotnik doesn’t mean he won’t be heading to Scotland.
Football Scotland’s report highlights that Celtic do want to sign Vipotnik as Ange Postecoglou chases another striker.
Vipotnik is being eyed as support for Kyogo Furuhashi and Oh Hyeon-gyu in the Celtic attack.
A £3.5million asking price is thought to be on Vipotnik’s head and we could see him head to Ibrox as a Celtic player next season.
Rangers would then hope that Celtic have signed a dud rather than a star, especially if the Gers aren’t going to enter the race for his signature.
