Rangers fan media Heart & Hand have dismissed claims that the Ibrox club paid £750k for teenage Manchester United midfielder Charlie McCann.
The 19-year-old joined the ranks of the Gers this week and will join up with the club’s B team where he will be assessed by the Ibrox coaching staff.

The Manchester Evening News had claimed that the Ibrox club forked out the pretty penny for the youngster to bring him to Old Trafford.
But these claims were rubbished by Heart & Hand host David Edgar on the popular Rangers media partner’s daily update [03/08/21], available to Patreon subscribers.
“Someone asked me, there was a rumoured fee of £700k, Rangers are not paying £700k for a B Team player,” said Edgar.
“I don’t know where that one came from but there’s no chance, it can’t happen.
“No Scottish team can pay £700k for a development player, it just isn’t feasible, it’s too much money.
“Outwith the very biggest clubs in Europe and the English Premier League nobody can spend £700k on a development player it’s just beyond the financial scope of most clubs.
“So no, no idea where that one came from but it isn’t true.”
Rangers kid Charlie McCann has been expressing his delight at signing for the Gers and described the move as a “no-brainer”.
“I’m delighted to get the move over the line, I was obviously really excited when I heard the news and I knew that it was a no brainer,” said Gerrard [Rangers.co.uk].
“I can’t wait to get started now and I’m looking forward to it.”
Rangers fans flooded in to welcome the youngster to Ibrox but it appears the Gers didn’t fork out quite as much as previously reported down south.
