Rangers are understood to be interested in signing Joe Gelhardt from Leeds United this summer.
The Light Blues kicked off their summer overhaul with the signing of Lawrence Shankland, and are tipped to sign as many as 10 new players ahead of the next season.
While a number six is said to be the next priority, Rangers are expected to further strengthen their attack this summer.
With Shankland’s arrival, Danny Rohl has five strikers in his ranks, but that is likely to change soon.
Danilo does not have a future at Ibrox and is on course to be offloaded this summer, while Bojan Miovski may be on his way out too.
Andrew Cavenagh seems to be working overtime!
This is great news for Rangers… 💪
Joe Gelhardt wants move elsewhere amid Rangers interest
Rangers have been credited with an interest in signing Gelhardt amid uncertainty around Danilo and Miovski.
The Premiership heavyweights have had the 24-year-old on their radar for quite some time, having been linked with a move for him as early as January 2025.
Gelhardt shone on loan at Hull City in the recently concluded season, bagging 15 goals and five assists in the Championship and helping them earn promotion, thus making him an even more attractive target for the Ibrox club.
Leeds United, for their part, also seem to be open to cashing in on the centre-forward, who is set to enter the final year of his contract.

There have been suggestions that Gelhardt gave a green signal to the Gers, but he is keen on a permanent move to Hull, according to LeedsLive.
As per the report, the Liverpool-born striker feels settled and happy at the MKM Stadium and would like to return this summer.
This is likely to ‘override other realistic temptations’, as per the report, thus handing a major blow to Rangers.
Which of these strikers are Rangers expected to sell?
Lawrence Shankland's arrival will surely change things!
Gelhardt to join Hull City
In his defence, it makes sense for Gelhardt to join Hull City permanently after the season he has just had.
With the Tigers returning to the Premier League next season, the left-footer has a chance to make his mark in the top-flight.
Leeds, meanwhile, will hope that Hull’s promotion will help them make a decent return on the forward.
As for Rangers, they have bigger priorities to focus on at the moment.
