Rangers have reportedly taken promising young AFC Sudbury striker Shane Temple on trial.
According to the Scotsman, Temple is currently at Auchenhowie and is primed to play in an internal friendly which will give him a chance to impress the Gers coaching staff.
The forward made two National League appearance for Braintree Town during the 2018/19 season before making the move to Sudbury and debuting in October 2019.
A year later, he scored all four goals as the Isthmian League North Division club defeated Harborough Town 4-2 in the preliminary round of the FA Cup.
Now 18, he has travelled to Glasgow in an attempt to win a potentially life-changing deal at Ibrox.
There are plenty of strikers on the books across all levels at Rangers right now.
Alfredo Morelos, Kemar Roofe, Cedric Itten and Jermain Defoe are all options for first-team boss Gerrard, while the likes of James Graham, Tony Weston and Chris McKee have shown promise in the Academy setup.
A trial wouldn’t have been offered to Temple unless there was room for a new addition, though, and it’ll be interesting to see whether or not the teenager is able to grasp his opportunity at Auchenhowie.
