Rangers fans hopes of staving off Sevilla interest in talismanic striker Alfredo Morelos could well rest on Ibrox flop Umar Sadiq.
Fans are nervous amid reports this week that the Europa League’s record winners want Mr Thursday Night in Spain as the Ibrox club rejected the suggestion a bid had been lodged.

With Alfredo Morelos now 26 and entering the final year of his contract in Glasgow should the Gers be tested with an offer the club will face a major dilemma.
If Alfie won’t sign a new deal then Rangers risk losing him for nothing and therefore the likes of potentially interested suitors such as Sevilla are in a strong position.
But the Spanish club may turn to a former teammate instead according to the latest reports coming out of the country.
Rangers flop Umar Sadiq linked with £21.5m move to Sevilla
The remarkable career of Umar Sadiq continues to take new twists and turns ever since leaving Ibrox and now the Almería forward is being linked with a move to Sevilla.
Sadiq had a failed loan stint at Ibrox in the first half of the 18/19 season during his time with AS Roma and has had some pretty choice words to say about Steven Gerrard in the aftermath.
But since then the lanky Nigerian’s career has gone from strength-to-strength and after impressing in Liga Segunda a move to Sevilla has been mooted in the press.
Marca are claiming that it could cost Sevilla up to £21.5m to bring Sadiq across Spain and that any deal could depend on the future of Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
Umar Sadiq had an impressive season in the Spanish second tier with his impressive return of 18 goals even seeing him linked to Bayern Munich at one point in the campaign.

It follows on from an impressive goalscoring stint with Partizan Belgrade in Serbia and it’ll be interesting to see what happens to the ex-Rangers striker this summer.
Rangers fans will just be hoping they can retain the services of talismanic forward Alfredo Morelos as Sevilla reportedly consider a move.
They’re not the only club from Spain either; at least according to the latest reports coming out of the country.
