Rangers have been linked with moves for both Jonathan Panzo and Auston Trusty in this transfer window as Michael Beale looks to strengthen his defence.
The Gers gaffer appears to be focussing on building the squad he wants before moving on others who may be deemed surplus to requirements.

A left-sided centre-half is going to be needed for Rangers but out of Jonathan Panzo and Auston Trusty, who comes out on top?
Using @DataMB_ to compare the two young defenders, there is one main difference between them.
At 22 and 24-years old respectively, they will still need to develop physically in terms of winning duels and aerial battles but time is on their side.

Trusty, who spent last season on loan from Arsenal, as the older of the two, currently has his nose in front on those metrics.
A Rangers centre-half tends to spend more time in possession than they do out of it though, especially in domestic football and this is exactly what Jonathan Panzo excels at.
This is where the younger of the two looks like the more astute signing and, perhaps, why a deal for the Nottingham Forest defender seems closer.
For progressive runs, passing, forward passing and progressive passing, the former Chelsea academy product performs considerably better.

As we saw with Nikola Katic, it’s one thing being brave and committed, but if you can’t pass and aren’t comfortable on the ball, you’ll soon get found out at Rangers.
With Filip Helander away and Ben Davies attracting interest, Rangers could end up in profit if the reported £2.5m valuation of Jonathan Panzo is accurate.
That he can also cover at left-back means that Borna Barisic or Ridvan Yilmaz could be sold to bring in some much needed additional spending money.
Michael Beale wanted Rangers to have a younger, leaner and more dynamic squad and, with Auston Trusty or Jonathan Panzo, that is what he would get.
